Overview

We supplied thousands of plants worth £22,000 to a £1m project to transform a holiday park in Hampshire, known as Hoburne Naish holiday village.

The Challenge

Situated on the clifftop, with breath-taking sea views, the Hoburne Naish holiday village combines the best that coastline and countryside have to offer. Holidaymakers can check out nearby sandy beaches or enjoy a picnic in the nearby New Forest.

The holiday park was recently given a £1m revamp, with a new leisure and entertainment complex, a family-friendly dining area and improved public spaces, including design-led areas with comfortable seating options. Attractions include indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a sauna and on-site brasserie.

The park includes a separate development of luxurious holiday homes, Hoburne Mudeford Mews, set amid carefully landscaped areas.

The solution

Our considerable experience of working in the holiday park sector enabled us to glean an excellent understanding of the level of plant quality that was required.

We supplied a total of 4,000 plants worth £22,000 to help with the park’s transformation, including a wide range of grasses, shrubs, hedging and herbaceous plants. More than 2,000 shrubs and 21 varieties of grasses were installed in different areas of the development.

The Result

The plants were very well received by both holidaymakers and property owners, whose comments on the newly developed areas were entirely complimentary.

The park’s owner, Hoburne Properties, was delighted not just by this response but by the quality of stock and the level of service we provided.

Mark Preston, Director of Hoburne Properties added “we have been delighted by both the quality of the stock and the level of service we have received from Johnsons, and the feedback from our holidaymakers and owners regarding their first impressions of the recently developed areas has been nothing but complimentary. We look forward to working with Johnsons on some exciting projects we have lined up for this coming winter across our parks”.
