Earlier this month, Johnsons commenced its autumn plant identification programme, with 17 colleagues participating in the opening session.
Over the course of six weeks, attendees will explore a series of seasonal topics designed to broaden their horticultural knowledge, including:
Perennials
Late-flowering plants and berries
Autumn leaf colour
Deciduous hedging
Deciduous shrubs
Plants susceptible to frost
This initiative represents the fifth formal plant identification programme delivered since 2023. On completion, participants will be awarded certificates acknowledging their commitment to professional learning and the development of their plant knowledge.
The plant identification programme has now become a core element of Johnsons’ annual development calendar, underlining the company’s ongoing commitment to horticultural excellence and the continuous professional growth of its workforce.
We extend our thanks to the managers leading these sessions for sharing their expertise, and commend all colleagues who have taken part to date for their dedication to learning.
