About us

Johnsons Nurseries is a three-generation family business located in North Yorkshire, equidistant between York and Harrogate, with over 100 years’ experience in growing and supplying millions of trees, shrubs, and plants to UK-wide planting schemes each year.

This is an exciting opportunity to work within our small but very friendly sales team. It’s a very busy  role where you’ll be developing great working relationships with our existing customers as well as developing new ones. You  will be producing quotes, providing advice, and processing and following up on  orders.

Your main responsibilities:

• Looking after a geographical area to develop and maintain sales
• Completing plant tenders on short time scales
• Ensuring an effective sales process
• Meet/exceed agreed sales targets and margin targets

• Experience of working in a sales office
• Experience in working as part of a team
• Experience in handling phone calls and emails effectively and in a timely manner
• Experience of direct contact with customers
• Great communication skills
• Attention to detail
