Johnsons Nurseries Ltd Celebrates Fifth Consecutive Year of Plant Healthy Accreditation

Johnsons Nurseries Ltd is proud to announce that it has achieved the prestigious Plant Healthy Accreditation for the fifth year in a row. This milestone highlights our ongoing commitment to plant health, biosecurity, and sustainability within the horticultural sector.

What is the Plant Healthy Accreditation?

The Plant Healthy Accreditation is awarded to organisations that meet the rigorous plant health management standards set by the UK Plant Health Assurance Scheme (UKPHAS). Achieving this recognition for five consecutive years reaffirms Johnsons’ dedication to biosecurity best practices and responsible plant care.

Commitment to Training and Best Practice

As part of this commitment, we provide comprehensive internal plant health training for our staff. This ensures our team members have the knowledge and skills to uphold these high standards year after year.

Protecting woodlands and green spaces from threats such as ash dieback and sudden oak death is critical to safeguarding native species and maintaining resilient ecosystems. At Johnsons, we take this responsibility seriously and continue to invest in practices that protect the wider environment.

    Why Plant Health Matters

Healthy plants are essential to creating thriving gardens and landscapes, but their importance goes far beyond aesthetics. Plants:

    • Generate the oxygen we breathe 🌱

    • Absorb carbon dioxide 🌍

    • Form the foundation of the global food system 🍽️

Without healthy plants, life as we know it simply would not be possible.
